TOPCon
TOPCon technology is a significant improvement in the manufacture of solar PV cells. This involved incorporation of a thin tunnel oxide layer, which passivates the surface, limiting recombination losses and increasing the efficiency of the solar cell. By minimizing carrier recombination at the contact surface, TOPCon technology contributes to higher conversion efficiencies which helps in improvement of solar cell performance.
